House Washing in Cape Coral, FL

Canal homes in Cape Coral get the humidity from both sides, the sky and the water out back.

How we do it

The soft wash process

  1. Step 1

    Protect

Plants and turf around the house are soaked with water first. Outlets, lights and anything delicate are checked before we start.

  2. Step 2

    Apply and dwell

The cleaning solution goes on at low pressure, from the bottom up, and sits long enough to kill the growth instead of just rinsing the surface.

  3. Step 3

    Rinse

A thorough low pressure rinse of the walls, windows and plants, top to bottom, so nothing is left behind.

Low pressure is the whole point. The cleaning does the work, not the force, so paint, stucco, screens and window seals are not at risk. Plants are pre-wet, rinsed after, and we watch for wind so the mist goes where we want it.

Cape Coral has hundreds of miles of canals, and thousands of homes back right onto them. Water behind the house means more humidity on the back walls, the lanai and the pool cage, which is why the canal side of a Cape home usually turns green before the street side.

Many Cape homes are concrete block and stucco, built from the 1980s on, and stucco takes a soft wash, not a blast. We clean the walls, soffits and trim at low pressure, protect the plants and the pool, and rinse everything down, canal side included.

FAQ

House Washing in Cape Coral, FL: questions

Why is the back of my Cape Coral house dirtier than the front?

On canal homes the back walls sit next to the water and stay more humid, so algae and mildew grow faster there.

Do you protect my pool and plants during a house wash?

Yes. Plants are soaked before and rinsed after, and we keep the solution away from the pool.

What is soft washing?

Soft washing cleans with a solution at low pressure instead of relying on high pressure water. The solution kills algae and mildew, and a gentle rinse carries it away, so painted and delicate surfaces are not damaged.

Is soft washing safe for my plants?

We soak the plants with water before we start and rinse them after, which is what protects them. If something is especially delicate, tell us and we will cover it.
