House Washing (Soft Wash)
House Washing in Fort Myers, FL
Fort Myers has some of the oldest stucco in Southwest Florida, and old stucco is the last thing to pressure wash.

Fort Myers has historic neighborhoods that most of Lee County does not. Edison Park's Mediterranean Revival homes date to the 1920s, Dean Park's go back to the 1910s, and McGregor Boulevard's estates include some of the oldest homes in the area. Aged stucco and old paint are porous and can be fragile, and high pressure on them does real damage.
That is exactly the surface soft washing was made for. The cleaning solution kills the algae and mildew in the texture, and a low pressure rinse carries it away, whether the house is a century old or was finished last year in Paseo or Pelican Preserve.
What we clean in Fort Myers
- Stucco, block, siding and trim
- Soffits, fascia and eaves, where the mildew hides
- Exterior light fixtures, door surrounds and garage doors
- Pool cage and lanai walls on the house side
- Gutter faces, brightened as part of the wash
How we do it
The soft wash process
- Step 1
Protect
Plants and turf around the house are soaked with water first. Outlets, lights and anything delicate are checked before we start.
- Step 2
Apply and dwell
The cleaning solution goes on at low pressure, from the bottom up, and sits long enough to kill the growth instead of just rinsing the surface.
- Step 3
Rinse
A thorough low pressure rinse of the walls, windows and plants, top to bottom, so nothing is left behind.
Low pressure is the whole point. The cleaning does the work, not the force, so paint, stucco, screens and window seals are not at risk. Plants are pre-wet, rinsed after, and we watch for wind so the mist goes where we want it.

FAQ
House Washing in Fort Myers, FL: questions
Is soft washing safe on an older Fort Myers home?
Yes, it is the right method for older stucco and paint because it relies on the cleaning solution, not pressure. If the paint is already failing, we will point it out before we start.
Do you clean the soffits and eaves?
Yes. Mildew collects under the eaves on almost every house here, and we clean them as part of the wash.
What is soft washing?
Soft washing cleans with a solution at low pressure instead of relying on high pressure water. The solution kills algae and mildew, and a gentle rinse carries it away, so painted and delicate surfaces are not damaged.
Is soft washing safe for my plants?
We soak the plants with water before we start and rinse them after, which is what protects them. If something is especially delicate, tell us and we will cover it.
